12Cr1MoVg boiler tube is an alloy high-pressure boiler tube, which belongs to alloy steel.
12cr1movg boiler tube is based on high-quality carbon structural steel, and one or more alloy elements are appropriately added to improve the mechanical properties, toughness and hardenability of steel. Products made of this kind of steel usually need to be heat treated (normalizing or tempering); the parts and components made of it usually need to be tempered or surface chemically treated (carburizing, nitriding, etc.), surface quenching or high-frequency quenching before use. Therefore, according to the chemical composition (mainly carbon content), heat treatment process and use, this kind of steel can be roughly divided into three types: carburizing, tempering and nitriding steel.
This kind of steel is mostly rolled (forged) into round, square, flat profiles and seamless steel pipes, and is mostly used to make more important and larger parts and components in mechanical products, as well as high-pressure pipelines, containers, etc. This high-quality carbon structural steel has better comprehensive mechanical properties.

(3) In addition to ensuring the chemical composition and mechanical properties, 1Cr18Ni9 and 1Cr18Ni11Nb boiler tubes with rust-resistant heat-resistant steel are often used. Water pressure tests, expansion and flattening tests must be performed on each tube. The steel tubes are delivered in a heat-treated state.
In addition, there are certain requirements for the microstructure, grain size and decarburization layer of the finished steel tubes.
Specifications and appearance quality of high-pressure boiler tubes: GB/T5310-2018 “Seamless Steel Tubes for High-Pressure Boilers” The outer diameter of hot-rolled tubes is 22 to 530 mm, and the wall thickness varies from 20 to 70 mm. The outer diameter of cold-drawn (cold-rolled) tubes is 10 to 108 mm, and the wall thickness varies from 2.0 to 13.0 mm.
The principle of purifying hydrogen by 12cr1mov boiler tube is that when the hydrogen to be purified is passed into one side of the 12cr1mov boiler tube at 300-500℃, the hydrogen is adsorbed on the wall of the 12cr1mov boiler tube. Since the 4d electron layer of palladium lacks two electrons, it can form an unstable chemical bond with hydrogen (this reaction between palladium and hydrogen is reversible). Under the action of palladium, hydrogen is ionized into protons with a radius of 1.5×1015m, and the lattice constant of palladium is 3.88×10-10m (at 20℃), so it can pass through the 12cr1mov boiler tube. Under the action of palladium, the protons combine with electrons and re-form hydrogen molecules, escaping from the other side of the 12cr1mov boiler tube. On the surface of the 12cr1mov boiler tube, the undissociated gas cannot penetrate, so the 12cr1mov boiler tube can be used to obtain high-purity hydrogen.
