Galvanized steel sheets are coated with a layer of metal zinc on the surface of the steel sheet to prevent corrosion and extend its service life. This type of zinc-coated steel sheet is called a galvanized sheet.
According to the production and processing methods, it can be divided into the following categories:
① Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet. The thin steel sheet is immersed in a molten zinc tank to make a thin layer of zinc adhere to its surface. It is mainly produced by continuous galvanizing process, that is, the rolled steel sheet is continuously immersed in a molten zinc plating tank to make a galvanized steel sheet;
② Alloyed galvanized steel sheet. This type of steel sheet is also made by hot dip, but after leaving the tank, it is immediately heated to about 500℃ to form an alloy film of zinc and iron. This type of galvanized sheet has good adhesion and weldability of the paint;
③ Electrogalvanized steel sheet. This type of galvanized steel sheet manufactured by electroplating has good processability. However, the coating is thinner and the corrosion resistance is not as good as that of hot dip galvanized sheet;
④ Single-sided and double-sided differential galvanized steel sheets. Single-sided galvanized steel sheet is a product galvanized on only one side. It has better adaptability than double-sided galvanized sheet in welding, painting, anti-rust treatment, processing, etc. In order to overcome the disadvantage of single-sided uncoated zinc, there is another galvanized sheet coated with a thin layer of zinc on the other side, that is, double-sided differential galvanized sheet;
⑤ Alloy and composite galvanized steel sheet. It is a steel sheet made of zinc and other metals such as aluminum, lead, zinc, etc. alloy or even composite plated. This kind of steel sheet has both excellent anti-rust performance and good coating performance;
In addition to the above five types, there are also colored galvanized steel sheets, printed coated galvanized steel sheets, polyvinyl chloride laminated galvanized steel sheets, etc. But the most commonly used is still hot-dip galvanized sheet.
