20G is a steel grade listed in GB/T5310 (corresponding foreign grades: st45.8 in Germany, STB42 in Japan, SA106B in the United States), and is the most commonly used steel for boiler steel pipes. Its chemical composition and mechanical properties are basically the same as those of 20 plates. This steel has certain room temperature and medium high temperature strength, low carbon content, good plasticity and toughness, and good cold and hot forming and welding performance.It is mainly used for manufacturing boiler fittings with high pressure and higher parameters, superheaters and reheaters in the low-temperature section, economizers, and water-cooled walls; For example, small diameter pipes are used as heating surface pipes with a wall temperature of ≤ 500 ℃, as well as water-cooled wall pipes and economizer pipes. Due to the graphitization caused by long-term operation of carbon steel above 450 ℃, it is best to limit the long-term maximum operating temperature of pipes as heating surfaces to below 450 ℃. This steel can meet the requirements of superheaters and steam pipelines in this temperature range in terms of strength, and has good oxidation resistance, good plasticity, toughness, welding performance and other cold and hot processing properties, making it widely used.

SA-210C (25MnG) is a steel grade in the ASME SA-210 standard.
